Food Network Recipes

Many enjoy watching the Food Network channel to get ideas to add some spice to their everyday meals. Now, you can cook just like they do on the channel with these ideas.

You can make Tuna Casserole like Rachel Ray does. First of all, you will need to boil water with salt. When boiling, add one pound of fettuccine and cook it until al dente. Next, heat three tablespoons of extra-virgin oil over medium heat. Saute four chopped cloves of garlic and a small chopped onion until tender, which should take about five minutes. Add two six ounce cans of drained tuna and a one-half cup of sliced, sun-dried tomatoes and heat for about one to two minutes. Add a half a cup of dry white wine and cook it down for a minute, then add one-half of a cup of heavy cream, and salt and pepper to taste. Toss the hot pasta and a half a cup of peas with the sauce. Top with grated cheese and about 20 leaves of shredded basil. You can find the full recipe here: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/renaissance-of-tuna-casserole-recipe/index.html

If you're looking to make a Food Network desert, you can make Paul Deen's Molten Lava Cakes. Start out by preheating your oven to 425 degrees. Melt six one ounce squares of bittersweet chocolate and two one ounce squares of semi-sweet chocolate with one and a fourth sticks of butter. This can be done in a microwave or double-boiler. Then add one-half cup of flour and one and a half cups confectioner's sugar to the mixture. Stir in three large eggs and three egg yolks until smooth. Stir in one teaspoon of vanilla and two tablespoons of orange liqueur. Divide the mixture into six ounce greased custard cups and place them into the oven to bake for 14 minutes. You want the edges firm and the center to be runny. Run a knife around the edges to loosen the cakes and invert them onto plates. If you want to make a light snack, Food Network star Giada Laurentis' Bruschetta recipe will fit the bill. All you need to do is place 36 slices of baguette bread onto a covered surface. Brush them with one-forth of a cup of extra-virgin olive oil. Bake the pieces until they are pale golden and crisp, which should take around 10 minutes. Arrange eight ounces of sliced Gorgonzola across the top of the bread and bake it for about three minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Drizzle the cheese with three tablespoons of honey. Serve immediately. You can find the full recipe here: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/bruschetta-with-gorgonzola-cheese-and-honey-recipe/index.html
