Popular Recipes

In our fast paced lifestyle, many people have a difficult time managing to get good, nutritious, balanced meals made for their families. There are some popular recipes that might help ease that burden a bit. In fact there is a website called The Six O’clock Scramble (http://thescramble.com/) that you can log onto and get some fantastic recipes that are easy to make, do not take a long time to make, and kids love them.

If you are looking for some popular family recipes that do not take a lot of time to prepare, or can be made ahead of time, here are some great ideas that have stood the test of time. For four to six servings of Goulash all you need is one and a half pounds ground beef browned and drained, then add one medium sized can of tomato sauce, one tablespoon oregano, two large cans of chopped tomatoes, (you can also add one finely chopped onion and one chopped green pepper if you desire), salt and pepper to taste. Simmer this until heated through and vegetables are soft. Add this to three cups of cooked elbow macaroni. This usually takes around thirty minutes to prepare.

A meal that is easy to make and kids love is Tuna Fish Hot Dish. For four to six servings mix together two regular sized cans of tuna fish, one can of cream of mushroom soup, one cup of milk, one package of frozen peas, salt and pepper to taste. Mix this with three cups of cooked macaroni noodles, put in a casserole dish, and crumble some potato chips on top. Then bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for twenty to thirty minutes until heated through and chips are slightly browned. Enjoy!
