Home cooked meals are always a nutritious and delicious dinner for you and your family. Unfortunately, not many families have the time to prepare these meals anymore, because most home cooked dishes take a lot of preparation time to get just right.

Luckily, Chicken Divan is fairly quick and easy for a home cooked meal. You will need 20 ounces of frozen chopped broccoli, six chicken breast halves that are cooked, boned and shredded, two cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup, one cup of mayonnaise, one cup of sour cream, one cup of grated sharp cheddar cheese, a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, a teaspoon of curry powder, a half cup of dry white wine, a half cup of grated Parmesan cheese, a half cup of soft bread crumbs and two tablespoons of butter.

To begin preparing this dish, microwave the broccoli until it is thawed, drain it and add the chicken. In a separate bowl, combine all of the other ingredients with the exception of the Parmesan cheese and the bread crumbs. Whisk this mixture together to make a sauce and pour it over the broccoli and chicken. Mix all of the ingredients so that the chicken and broccoli are well-covered by the sauce.

Place this mixture into an 11 x 7 casserole dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil. Pat the mixture down until it is smooth and lies evenly in the casserole dish. Combine the Parmesan cheese and the bread crumbs and sprinkle them over the top. You can then begin to bake this delicious meal uncovered at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until it is bubbly. You can make this recipe ahead of time and freeze it for later. You can also substitute the broccoli for spinach to make a great Chicken Florentine recipe.
