Did you know that Division II is the middle category for college scholarships as determined by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)? It is often viewed as a division that offers a good roundup of both academic and athletic features. To this effect, D2 schools split their scholarship offerings between sports and academic field, unlike Division III which provides no scholarships for athletes.
The actual number of people who get these scholarships completely depends on how many athletic scholarships are offered by the colleges. It can vary greatly from year to year.
