If you're interested in Oregon's history, check out the post (http://www.fishinghuntingblog.com/2009/08/14/the-wood-homested.html) about the old Wood Homestead near Eagle Point. This is one of the first structures built in Eagle Point, Oregon around 1870. It has often been photographed or the subject of paintings.
This is the second post about the Wood Homestead on the FishingHuntingBlog website. It's quite a fascinating story about the Wood's marriage and the subsequent owners. The house was finally deeded to the Eagle Point Historical Society and they have tried to preserve it. You might want to take a look at this post and the other stuff on the website.
