Tips for a No-Waste Holiday Season

T'is the season for gift giving, holiday parties, family celebrations, special programs, concerts and worship services.  This is also a time of the year when waste materials accumulate in our homes and most of us find it too easy to disregard the outcomes of holiday waste. Most all communities in the United States have recycling programs that provide great tips for making this a no-waste holiday event. There are a few holiday recycling tips that we all need to consider. You will find some of these tips in a post (http://www.bestgoldenlife.com/2009/12/21/tips-for-a-no-waste-holiday-season.html). Even if you're reading this article after the holiday season, make notes for next year.

I especially liked the one on saving boxes, packing material, wrapping paper, boxes and gift bags for your future use. That's an easy one. We should keep recycling after the holidays by recycling the Christmas tree.

Take a look at the website for BestGoldenLife (www.bestgoldenlife.com), it has quite a variety of interesting topics. Think you'll find something useful.
