Braille

I confess that I haven't thought about the blind for a long time until I read this blog yesterday about braille. Yes, it did cause me to think again about how blessed I am to be able to read and see all that God has created.

I encourage all of you to take a few minutes and check out this very informative blog (http://www.readersresidence.com/2010/03/05/braille.html). The writer explains the system of writing and reading in braille. Braille makes it possible for those who are blind to enjoy reading what the sighted seem to take for granted.

There's other information for readers on this unique website (www.readersresidence.com). I thought the article about the book written by Judith Viorst, "If I Were In Charge of the World", was interesting. I'm glad there are such books out there to help children understand the tragedies that occur in their world.
